
Tennille Lambert previously held the positions of Associate Professor and Chair of Dance at Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC), and Adjunct Professor of Dance at Westchester Community College (WCC), and the Florida State University (FSU). Tennille received her M.F.A. in Choreography and Performance from Florida State University and is a registered Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in Connecticut and New York. As a hybrid practitioner, Tennille is interested in research that utilizes both allied health and an artistic lens, and explores the intersectionality of dance practice and occupational therapy. Her choreographic work has been presented at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), Dance Theatre Workshop, Old Town Temecula Theater, Galapagos Art Space, Movement Research, The Merce Cunningham Studio, The Cool New York Dance Festival, The Tank NYC, and at the West End Theater. She has been invited into The Bessie Schonberg Lab for Choreographers at DTW and was an Artist in Residence at The Field NYC. Tennille received an Emerging Artist Grant from the Puffin Foundation and was a Choreographic Fellow at Summer Stages Dance Festival in Concord, MA. Tennille was one of six choreographers selected to participate in Bare Intensity, a program supported by the James Irvine Foundation and formed The Ugly Company in 2005 as a platform for her off-the-beaten-path creative style. Tennille is an advocate for the wellness benefits of dance education and believes in the therapeutic value of dance participation across the lifespan.
